What do new application methods within the stone glazing of ceramics look like? This is what marc.roman_ explored in his material study by working among the unique features of volcanic scoria, for which he was awarded at one&twenty 2023.⠀ ⠀ → The low melting point of scoria allows the use of solid rock pieces instead of crushed material bound in liquid. The resulting glaze layer is significantly thicker than usual, forming another kind of matter on top of the ceramic carrier.
