Pulsing visual world
The winners with the award “Winner” and “Best of Best” will be exhibited in Milan on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile in the context of the Tortona Design Week 2018.
This year the design consultant and trend expert Nina Bruun developed the design concept for the international competition for up and coming young designers known as ‘ein&zwanzig’.
The main theme of this year’s event is “reflections.” In selecting the materials for the event, Bruun laid particular emphasis on surface design and the high-impact interplay between matte and glossy. “My aim is to create a pulsing visual world, a young and modern universe – one that takes the viewer by surprise right from the get-to and draws her into the exhibit’s orbit.”

Exhibition designers Besau-Marguerre
The Hamburg-based design studio Besau-Marguerre came up with the exhibition design for the presentation of the winners of the international next-generation competition ein&zwanzig (twenty-one).
To draw attention to the young designers and their works amidst the plethora of products and exhibits shown annually at the Salone del Mobile in Milan, the creative team from Hamburg was commissioned to create a uniquely inspirational space with powerful imagery that will encourage visitors to engage in communication, making the exhibition a forum for interaction and encounters.
