Traditional Culture Crossing
Project nameTraditional Culture Crossing
designed asindependent concept
Human interactions and communication change our culture every day, in subtle ways. This is very visible in tableware. The classic onion pattern tells a long story about cross-cultural misunderstandings. Originally from China, the blue drawings were reinterpreted by German porcelain painters and became part of German culture. Fracturing the pattern, putting it back together in a new way and combining classic shapes with Arabian inspired shapes – this continues with the tradition of crossing cultures.
